Covid is a major event that many Vancouver realtors weren't looking forward to. The idea of an influx of buyers in the market made them excited, but for some it was a nightmare. This blog post will tell you about what happened during Covid from the point of view of one Vancouver realtor and how they survived this crazy time period.
Covid kicked off buyers everywhere. The summer market was crazy, but what makes it worse is the fact that Vancouver realtors are getting calls from sellers who want to get their homes on the market now in order to take advantage of this demand. Feeling overwhelmed with both sides calling constantly for help, our team created a plan.
First, we were able to schedule all of our clients for the entire month in order to get everyone's homes on the market. We knew that this would take a lot of work and time spent with each client but it was necessary during Covid.
Secondly, we set up weekday open houses so we weren't overwhelmed by weekend requests from buyers. After we were able to get their homes on the market for sale, we then began showing them listings of other homes so they could begin thinking about what it would be like if they had to move.
Finally, we took a step back and gave each client space in order for them to process all that was going on with this time period following strict Covid protocols. This being said, we also continued to stay in communication with them throughout this time period.
Our client base grew during Covid and each one of these clients is still a part of our extended family! We can't believe the year has gone by so fast but we are grateful for every moment that we got to spend with some truly amazing people.
